Tom is a Senior associate at Converge Strategies where he aims to accelerate energy innovation to enhance American national security. Tom spends a lot of his time thinking about being in the mountains - skiing, hiking, rafting, etc. He's also a future dog owner (May 2020?) and will take any advice, solicited or not, that he can get on the subject.

Staff Engineer III, Maryland Public Service Commission

Samrawit (Samri) Dererie is a Staff Engineer at the Maryland Public Service Commission. The PSC works to ensure that services provided by public utility companies are adequate, safe and reliable, and the rates associated are just and reasonable. Samri is an avid sports fan.

National Outreach and Partnership Coordinator, Citizens' Climate Lobby

Currently, Taylor is on Citizens' Climate Lobby's Government Affairs team in Washington, D.C as the National Outreach and Partnership Coordinator where she supports building relationships and collaborations with various national level groups, businesses, and congressional offices. She also currently is earning her Masters in Science at Johns Hopkins in Energy Policy and Climate. Her passion for climate change advocacy came from her research as a Chemistry and Environmental Science/Policy major and atmospheric science in NASA’s Student Airborne Research Program, where she developed a desire to build the disconnect between science and policy, especially in environmental issues. She loves traveling and savoring nature by hiking or camping!

Senior Research Associate, Climate Leadership Council

Shayla Ragimov is a Senior Research Associate at the Climate Leadership Council where she supports research in carbon policy analysis and design. She holds a Master of International Affairs with distinction in International Environmental Policy from University of California, San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy. A first-generation Azerbaijani/Georgian, Shayla is a formally trained dancer who transformed her passion for music into becoming an avid drummer.
